This house was an old 80’s house design with small bedrooms and pokey little bathrooms. The Owner decided to rather stay in this house and slowly but surely modernize the house as it had good location and a great garden.
Several other rooms were modernized by us over the past 4 years. However, the owner now had enough budget to finally revamp the master bedroom and bathroom. It was decided to utilize the 2 small bedrooms next to the master bedroom to make the master bedroom and bathroom bigger and more open plan but in addition to add a master dressing room.
It was a messy affair to begin with knocking down old walls and rebuilding new ones. New bigger sliding doors and windows were added for maximum exposure to the garden and out door shower area. New ceilings, bulkheads and curtain coffers were installed for great mood lighting effects. Clever use of space was added to the open plan dressing room.
Our only regret was that we never took “before” photo’s to show the difference. The end result was that the client has the most luxurious, airy and flowing space that just creates serenity and peace as it connects you to nature in the garden. The client is so happy with the amazing results and calls it her “Hollywood bathroom”.
